The fifth Investment Advisory Council meeting was held at the Parliament of Lithuania aiming to discuss with the members of Parliament ways to increase FDI and to improve the investment environment of Lithuania.
The members of the Council highlighted the three key areas for improvement. Lars Ohnemus, CEO of Baltic Property Trust Asset Management discussed the issues relating to land, real estate and construction; Cynthia J. Pasky, President and CEO of Strategic Staffing Solutions analysed the labour market problems, and John-Paul Warszewski, Managing Director of CIS and Turkey at Nomura commented the tax regulation and fiscal incentives to foreign investors.
The remaining part of the meeting concentrated on the Lithuanian economic image and the ways to promote Lithuania abroad.
